Logan knitters are helping traumatised families with their handmade woollen teddies.
EVEN in our darkest moments, a handmade teddy can bring heart and hope.
Knit4Charities has joined forces with the Logan House Fire Support Network to make trauma teddies for families devastated by fires.
Project founder Pamela Tatt said more than 1000 crafters produced truckloads of knitted clothes, blankets and toys for charities and emergency services.
She said having something to hold could “make all the difference in the world” to people faced with tragedy.
“They are for old and young alike — anyone at any age can be comforted by a teddy,” she said.
The Eagleby resident said she was “blown away” after learning of the important work of the LHFSN and promptly offered support.
